Controllers designed by Joe Hinkle have the capability to be operated in Stand Alone mode. This means the controller requires no outside computer to operate: No Computer, No RasIP, NO BeagleBone Black, etc
HSA – Hinkle’s Stand Alone program allows you to take your xLights data and create a Stand Alone System on any Hinkle Controller
Stand Alone operations is accomplished by having all Lighting data and Audio files on a micro SD card which is then played directly by the Controller. The Controller can also transmit E131 data to “Slave” controller for a multi-controller Display

This Download version of HSA is the THIRD rewrite. I tried to make Version 2 cross-platform by using NODE.js and the Chrome Browser. That was a disaster. Browser technology will not handle the type of processing I need to accomplish.
This Version (Major THREE) is a C++ program.
MAC users – after talking to many MAC users, the best solution to offer a MAC user is to pick up an inexpensive copy of Win 7 and run a virtual machine. Sorry – that’s the best I can offer.
